I used to go in on my own at times as a young teenager and adult. He was our Family doctor. Dr. DeRovira has and will forever be my favorite doctor. Due to moving far East and change of insurance I sadly had to change Doctors. He actually cared!! His bedside manner was like no other. So easy to talk to. Never felt like just a number. He listened. Every time I called he would talk to me personally if I had a question. He even would visit my Nana at home and the hospital when he didnt have to. The older I get the more I realize how hard it is to come by a Doctor like him. My love to him and his family. I can't tell you how sad I was to hear of his passing. My Brother Robert told me. Gone too young. Thank you for all you've done for me Dr. DeRovira 🫶🙏💖 and my Family. His wife, Rachel was such a sweetheart, all of his staff was- Just the best! I am returning from Ghana 🇬🇭 to hear of the passing of the most well respected and ❤️ loved physicians I have ever met. He had a bed side manner that is unheard of in 2023 and a work ethic that is nonexistent in modern day. So now the practice has been transferred to a group of doctors who seem to be up to the task of filling 👞 of a man that is hard to match. Currently, it appears these doctors are affiliated with both Mercy & South Nassau. This bridge allows me to stay and have my primary care that is usually handled in conjugation to South Nassau under De Rovira and align with my specialist Dr. Chow who is affiliated with Shawn Garber and Mercy Hospital. I will continue to update and hopefully I will then be able to change my rating once I have the opportunity to see how this works out with the new transition.
