Warning: Providing false insurance information to get cash payments. I called today regarding a TENS unit, and the staff member flat-out lied to me. They claimed these machines are "only covered for the knee" and that I would have to pay in cash for any other body part. This is completely false. I have already verified with my insurance that it is fully covered for my needs. They failed to mention that even if a claim is initially denied, an appeal can be requested, and a doctor can provide a letter of medical necessity for an appeal. It is clear they would rather trick patients into paying cash than do the paperwork for insurance. Very dishonest business practices. Avoid!
