Great value in the membership options at Madison Reed. Staff are always attentive and very easy to book, check in and out . I find the hair wash station to be just meh. I’ve had to ask for a good post color wash, otherwise it feels like they’re barely washing… I have a lot of hair. The dry station always looks dirty, hair everywhere.

I had a very disappointing experience at Madison Reed’s Upper East Side location. The colorists clearly lack expertise, as my highlights turned out uneven, overly warm, and poorly blended. Instead of achieving a natural, seamless look, I was left with a patchy result that looked amateurish. On top of that, the attention to detail was severely lacking. It was clear they rushed through the process, and the final outcome showed it. When I reached out about the issue, they offered a correction, but I don’t trust them to fix what they already messed up. I expected professional service, but what I got felt more like a trial run from an untrained stylist. If you care about your hair, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere. There are plenty of salons with real professionals who know what they’re doing.
